It seems like just yesterday I wrote a similar line for 2008 and 2009! Time definitely flies when you're having fun.
...and fun I had in 2009. After a difficult 2008, I was ready for a new beginning. 2009 offered that new beginning and I held on to it with both hands. But, like any new beginning, it had it's ups and downs. I said goodbye to projects I was proud of and people who didn't deserve me. I had to accept what I could not have and appreciate what I was given. All in all, 2009 was good, but 2010 will be better.
As I've always said, if you don't live and learn, then you aren't really living. 2010, will be my year to truly learn! An expansion on my education and activist work will take place, as well as a return to a passion I put on hold for 2009: photgraphy! I will continue my writing and tweeting, my blogging and talking. Of course, I will take you along for the journey.
My motto for 2010 is: "Courtney O'Keefe: Subject to Positive Change!" This was approved by my father on New Year's Eve, so none of you have to call him for verification after you read this. This motto leaves the whole year open to change, but sets the standard as to what kind of change it has to be.
